A Mental Health Treatment Plan (also called a Mental Health Care Plan), is developed between you and your GP or psychiatrist, and acts as a referral for support. It outlines the treatment recommended to manage your mental health difficulties, and enables you to receive Medicare rebates for psychology sessions.
With a Mental Health Care Plan, you are eligible to receive Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions each calendar year with a psychologist, or another eligible mental health professional.
